“My destiny is in the Shenandoah Valley,” says Jan about his dreams for his future and the future of Imagine Magazine. For right now, he will be content to launch an English-language version of Imagine, the current issue of which is a 48-page, full-color tabloid where Jan reports on peace through the visual and healing arts, through spiritual practice, and through socio-political activism.

From the ranks of the Dutch media, Jan answered the calling of independent journalism when he founded the Spiritual Paper, out of which grew Imagine last year. He particularly enjoys from-the-ground reporting and photojournalism. When he is not beating production deadlines, Jan likes to practice his modern Greek at a neighborhood restaurant.
