As Director of the Romanian-American Trade Chamber and Cultural Center, Lucian assists American and Romanian businesses to expand in each other's markets, and he provides information on tourism opportunities in both countries. He wholeheartedly supports the goals of Sister Cities International, and he is President and Founder of the American-Romanian Sister Cities Council in Atlanta. He has graciously offered to take a leadership position in a campaign to create an official Sister-City relationship between Pobandar, India, the birthplace of Mohandas Gandhi, and Atlanta, the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Mahatma’s most promising protege.

Lucian is the Founder of Youth for a Better World, and during the years of 1996-1999, he served on the Board of Directors of the International Arts and Cultural Center in Clarkston, GA. During the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, he served as the ACOG-Olympic Envoy Assistant for the Romanian Team and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for Contribution, signed by Antonio Samaranch, President of the International Olympic Committee.

On September 11, 2006 (the 100th Anniversary of Satyagraha, the birth of Gandhi’s peace movement in South Africa), Lucian was one of the speakers at a press conference where Atlanta: City of Peace announced plans for the Global Peace Museum. He states: “Congratulations for the efforts and goals of Atlanta: City of Peace. I am ready to get involved so that our common endeavors and our performance meet the standards of a top organization with vision and diplomacy."

Lucian is fluent in Romanian, English, French, and German, has traveled in 10 countries over the last 40 years, and maintains dual residency status; he is a sterling example of "International Atlanta." Lucian earned a Master of Science in Civil, Structural, and Industrial Engineering from Polytechnic University in Jasi, Romania, and he has completed his residency work for a PhD in Business Administration.
